Woodstaudt 2012 & Ball of HOPE 2012 and the investment for eternity

There are many people supporting HOPE Cape Town and each and everybody is unique; there are many ways to support HOPE Cape Town and once again each and every way is unique and often connected with lots of fun and excitement. Take Woodstaudt 2012 which is happening on the 19.05.2012 in Staudt / Germany. Developed in a church hall Woodstaudt attracts more than 1500 visitors every year and gives local bands to play unplugged: Ska, Punk, Hardcore, Rock, Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop… – young people enjoying themselves and at the same time doing something good for those living with HIV and AIDS on the other end of the globe. http://www.woodstaudt.de/ is the web adress for those interested to join the youngsters.
Different the Ball of HOPE 2012 – benefit gala in Cape Town – a black tie event and a great annual fundraiser for HOPE Cape Town in the mother city.  Already booked out for this year, but there is always a chance to be an early bird for 2013 🙂 This year ist special as we also celebrate 60 years of the South African German Chamber of Commerce and Industry – 10 years of cooperation between HOPE Cape Town and the chamber in running the Ball of HOPE.

So there are so many ways in promoting HOPE Cape Town, assisting those infected and affected, helping directly via a donation or helping to build up the HOPE Cape Town Trust to secure the future of HOPE Cape Town. Imagine how great it would be for an organisation not to worry anymore about currency exchange rates and how the economic downfall is influencing the support for those in need. You can be part of this security for all affected and infected in the Western Cape – you can be part in an eternal investment for the future of South Africa in contributing specifically for the HOPE Cape Town Trust – putting in place a stone of remembrance which assists those living and looking for help and a future themselves. If you interested in assisting the HOPE Cape Town Trust – please feel free to contact me directly (stefan @ hopecapetown.com).

Fundraisers for HOPE Cape Town

There are two major fundraiser events for HOPE Cape Town, which happen in Cape Town and Dresden. Every May the “Ball of HOPE” invites its guest for entertainment, live music, a good meal and much more – doing good and feeling good at the same time. This event is always in cooperation with the Southern African – German Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Cape Town Office. Originated from a “dinner-dance” event at the Mount Nelson of the German-speaking Catholic Community Cape Town in 1998 it changed into one the highlights of the social calendar in Cape Town.
The other event is in the German autumn, always the last weekend in October: the HOPE Gala Dresden. Initiated by Saxonia Systems in Dresden, a sponsor of the first hour for HOPE Cape Town (thanks to Andreas and Kathrin Moench, who got married in Cape Town) and organised by Viola Klein the Gala is the major fundraiser event in the east of Germany and developed its own style, drawing guests from all over Germany to Dresden for this event.
HOPE Cape Town is grateful to all and everybody organising the events and those who attend and make the project work together with all the other unsung heroes who give money and energy to help those less fortune.

www.hopegala.de is the website for the HOPE Gala Dresden.

28.05.2011 Ball of HOPE

It is with great pleasure that I break through all the strategic goals of UNAIDS to add a small little blog about the Ball of HOPE 2011.
It was marvelous: the Brookly Holy Cross Senior Choir and the Dance Group kept the audience focused through the whole entertainment programme and when do you see standing ovations after the second song… Well done!!! Minister Winde and Consul General of Switzerland, Irene Flueckiger gave brief speeches but with contents to reflect on and Adolf Thelen and Band played in the usual professional and excellent manner. Raffle Tickets, the tribute to late Brian Sharkey, the Catholic Men’s Society Milnerton/Brooklyn with their ongoing support – all facets of life where present, not to forget all HOPE Cape Town employees in beautiful dresses, donated by Monika and Bernd Rosenkranz.

All in all an evening where I really only had to set the tone with my welcome speech, but otherwise to enjoy, communicate, liaise, network – thanks specially to my cooperation partner Anja Tambusso Ferraz who, together with Petra Reichwein, did most of the preparations as I was overseas.

It was indeed an evening of HOPE for those less fortune and those fortune had a ball of a lifetime. So everybody should be happy. The organisers are and say thank you to all our faithful supporters.
